The Gifts of Time

​What is the best gift you could ever give or receive?

Recently, I introduced an idea on social media that I want to follow up with. I was thinking about Giving Tuesday and what I could do to contribute to this 'holiday'. As I thought about what I could do I had some ideas that I thought would be fun to try but I also realized that I didn't have the energy or time to do them. Life gets so busy so quickly!

Then I thought, how could I give people more time?

​How can I help others to have more time when it's quite clear that I don't have any control over that?

Inspiration, revelation, whatever you want to call it, (I'm going with revelation), this idea popped into my head. I listed out some things that I wish I had more time for. Then I thought, if I could take one of these things and focus on it each month, then as I'm putting my energy towards that thing, in a way, I'm making more time for it. If I share that process with others, giving them ideas of what I'm doing, am I helping them to create more time also? Maybe. I thought I will give it a shot. 

'The Gift of Time.' That would be the gift I want to give everyone, every day. That would be my daily 'Giving Tuesday'.

​As I developed this idea I thought I would break this down into two main parts.

1. How I use these gifts of time on a personal level
2. How I use my gift of time in my art practice.

Each month I will introduce a different 'Gift of Time' to focus on and share bits of my process with this endeavor.

I hope that you or someone else out there will be able to enjoy these, 'Gifts of Time' with me.

Because for me, time is the best gift to give and receive.
