In case you didn't already know, today I announced that I will now be selling prints! This has been a long time coming, I should have been doing it a LONG time ago...but the timing finally felt right, (meaning I really buckled down so I could figure out how to do this!). So thank you for your patience! I have been thinking a lot about how I wanted to do these prints. I realized that at this point I didn't have a huge selection of final pieces that I was ready to make prints for, but I felt like I had so many images that I just loved! Images that weren't final pieces but I couldn't let go of them. I wanted to do something special with them, highlight them in a way. A few months ago things clicked and I knew how and why I wanted to do this. Below is the artist statement for these pieces, and of course this will be an ongoing body of work. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and keep coming back for more updates! The Story of Art Sometimes there are paintings within paintings. The parts that are working, and are beautiful on their own. A story within a story. But the whole piece needs more to be completed and these small stories need to be covered, changed, and are sometimes forgotten. We pain to see them go, to change what doesn't seem to need any change. To create something better and stronger, we proceed and continually change the story. These are the stories of art. We all have little stories in our lives that change the outcome of who we become. We have magical moments that we don't want to leave behind or things that we never want to change. If we want a better more beautiful whole we take these small stories and build upon them. We see them for what they are, we remember them, and keep them safely tucked away in our hearts. We use these small stories to give us momentum to write a greater story. To start a new adventure. These create the story of us. Check out the shop page to see all images available!
